Last night our school called their first snow day of the year and this morning my husband called off work. As a stay at home mom, this means total schedule chaos LOL Needless to say I haven't got much done today, and it was actually kind of nice :) What do you do on a snow day? Unfortunately I really wanted to take the kids on their first sledding trip but our temperature has not gotten above 25 degrees. Too cold for our 19 month old and DEFINITELY to cold for this Mama. Instead the kids played, did a craft, and hubby and I caught up on a couple of our shows we were behind on. All this sitting around does have me ready for bed already though. I have seen snow once in my life and the last time it had snowed where i lived, happened over 100 years ago.. so yaaa! lol i live in DEEEEEEEP south texas. 10 min. away from mexico. the very tip of the bottom on texas.. ya thats me! ReplyDeleteWe live in Kansas and our town got 16 inches... and I think it will be forever melting since it is so stinking cold out! They said we might get rain or snow on Sunday.. hope it isn't a lot!
ReplyDeleteWe never have snow days because we're in the metro Atlanta area, lol. My kids are dying to go somewhere with "real" snow, because all we ever get is a light dusting that turns into slush within a few hours.
ReplyDeleteWow things are totally different here in Canada. We could have 3 times that much snow and still school wouldn't be cancelled. We were pummeled today with snow, it's still going. I looked like an abominable snowwomen by the time I got home from walking the girls to school.
